Γειά σου! My name is Alex Broches. Im a small business owner & author based in Illinois for half the year and the other half of the year I am a digital nomad working from all over the world. 

 I started the group Chicago Greeks in 2018 with the goal of connecting Greeks across Chicago as a one stop digital hub to help connect Greeks with each other. Whether it's upcoming events, meeting new friends, business deals or helping each other for questions in regards to Greece, my goal was to bring the Greek community together to focus on the community as aspect at the forefront.

To date, we have been able to help Chicago Greeks in the group:

• Meet new friends
• Dating
• Buy and sell businesses with each other (Over $5,000,000 so far)
• Helped Greeks from Greece find employment here in the USA
• Helped Greek-Americans find employment in Greece
• Hundreds of questions answered about passports, citizenship and upcoming Greek events in the Chicagoland area

For me, my race is central to my identity.  We came from the greatest people to ever walk this earth: the builders and founders of western civilization.   

It is our duty to maintain that greatness into the future as Greeks. That's why I created the group.  

Even though the group says Chicago, it has become a central digital hub for Greeks across the world as well that use the group for information and help when needed.

The Chicago Greeks group on occasion has had over 100,000+ views in a week from content shared.  

Our original group (at 7,000 followers), was blacklisted when I started posting content in regards to the attempted takeover of certain islands in Greece by Turkey and also posting information in regards to corruption happening among our Greek leaders in Greece. 

Because of these certain topics, the group was blacklisted and we were unable to access it again. So, I made a new group again a few months ago to start from where we left off.   My main emphasis for the future of the group is to focus on the following issues:

1.) Having Greeks work together and emphasizing tribalism rather than working alone to accomplish goals.  As the saying goes, "the lone wolf dies in the winter, the pack survives".

2.) Low birth rates in Greece & the intentional demographic replacement of indigenous Greeks and Europeans in Europe. (This is the biggest threats to Greeks and Europeans across the world that has not been addressed out of fear.)

3.) Finding true purpose in our life and to be the best we can be: We need to look at our ancestors of the past for motivation, inspiration and appreciate the steps they laid out for us Greeks. (Being familiar with Greek history & language so it does not fade away as the years pass)
