Hi Chicago Greeks!
I live in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago and have lived in the city for 15 years, in many different neighborhoods. I was born in Oak Lawn and grew up all over the suburbs. My mom (Podohoritis/Flessas) was born and raised in Kalamata and my step Dad (Arvanitis) is from Nestani, just outside of Tripoli.
I got into real estate to help my family transition from the restaurant business (Little John's in Crystal Lake) to flipping homes. As a full service agent I handle anything real estate related for my network and referrals. I have sold restaurant businesses, strip malls with and without the business included, multi-unit buildings for investment and of course single family residents in the city and suburbs!
I am proud to be Greek and go back yearly to my flat in Kalamata, right by the beach. I grew up with my mom telling me, we're Greek and because of that we are held to a higher standard.
We were surrounded by family and always helped each other. I'd like to continue that as an adult and help my community. The food, and culture have always been a staple of my identity no matter how much everything else in life changed, I think I've moved at least 20 times in my life!
